Two researchers at the University of Florida have found evidence that hypnosis may well benefit patients suffering from functional bowel diseases.
Oliver Grundmann of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and Saunjoo “Sunny” Yoon of the University of Florida College of Nursing, havepublished a study, http://tinyurl.com/nprs4gh, in the European Journal of Integrative Medicine that shows the benefits of hypnotherapy for patients with irritable bowel syndrome.
Some of the studies showed that hypnotherapy is just as effective as pain medication for irritable bowel patients.
Hypnotherapist Melissa Roth reports that there is research in the United Kingdom showing that hypnotherapy is the best-known treatment for irritable bowel syndrome. And, many medical doctors there described hypnotherapy for irritable bowel syndrome.
